Z-stack images of the mature dermal collagen structure in a 12 centimeter long axolotl
Description
The mature dermal collagen structure in the 12 centimeter long axolotl, consisting of the stratum baladachinum (SB), stratum spongiosum (SS), and stratum compactum (SC), was visualized in Z-stack images acquired by confocal microscopy. Cells were abundant in the SS. DAR-4M was used as a fluorescent probe for dermal collagen visualization and is referred to as DAR in this study. In the CMV::GFP transgenic axolotl, GFP fluorescence was used to visualize the cell cytoplasm and filopodia.
