Z-stack images of mesenchymal cells into the collagen layer in an 8 centimeter long axolotl
Description
The mesenchymal cells invading the collagen layer in the dermis of an 8 centimeter long axolotl were visualized in Z-stack images acquired by confocal microscopy. The filopodia extending from the mesenchymal cells were also observed. DAR-4M was used as a fluorescent probe for dermal collagen visualization and is referred to as DAR in this study. In the CMV::GFP transgenic axolotl, GFP fluorescence was used to visualize the cell cytoplasm and filopodia.
