Z-stack images of type I collagen in the dorsal skin from a 12 centimeter long axolotl
Description
Type I collagen in the dorsal skin from a 12 centimeter long axolotl was visualized in the Z-stack images acquired by confocal microscopy. Three distinct collagen layers containing type I collagen were observed in the axolotl dermis using the fluorescent collagen probe DAF-FM DA. DAF-FM DA was used as a fluorescent probe for dermal collagen visualization and is referred to as DAF in this study.
