Bright-field images for random forest classification of cell viability. Tobacco BY-2 cells were treated with 10 micromolar enoxolone for 24 h at 27 degC in the dark with shaking and imaged using an Agilent BioTek Cytation 1. ImageJ was used to manually crop 1,200 individual dead cells; 900 images were used for training and 300 for testing. GLCM texture features were extracted using ImageJ LPX Features and classified using the R package randomForest.
