Z-series images of 5 DAS leaf primordia of an3 mutant-Arabidopsis thaliana_sample4 stained with BCECF-AM (vacuole) and FM4-64 (plasma membrane)
Description
The 5 DAS leaf primordia of an3 mutant-Arabidopsis thaliana sample4 stained with BCECF-AM, used as the fluorescent indicator for vacuole, and FM4-64, used as the dye for plasma membrane. Z-series images were obtained by confocal microscopy. The size and shape of vacuole in the mutant an3 were larger and more unified. The ANGUSTIFOLIA (AN3) gene is a positive regulator of cell proliferation and an3-4 allele was isolated by Horiguchi et al. (2005).
