3D rendered images of mitochondria in living HeLa cells with SPASIM for single-photon activation
Description
The 3D rendered images of mitochondria visualized by Skylan-NS in living HeLa cells were captured with selective-plane-activation structured illumination microscopy (SPA-SIM) using single-photon activation. The images with SPA-SIM showed higher contrast and better visualization of the mitochondria distributed throughout the cell. Skylan-NS is a photoswitchable green fluorescent protein. CW laser is used for single-photon activation, which is more efficient and allows measurement with higher temporal resolution.
