Fixed, DAPI-stained cell photographs (by epifluorescence and bright field microscopy) of NIES-4671=Kasumi11 (photos 9-12) and NIES-4570=Kasumi9 (photos 25-28) showing presence and absence of the rickettsial endosymbionts "MIDORIKO", respectively, established from the same field-collected sample in the green algal species Pleodorina japonica.
