Mitochondrial dynamics and segregation during the asymmetric division of Arabidopsis zygotes
Description
These live-cell image show that the mitochondria form the extended structure and are polarly distributed along the apical–basal axis. The mitochondria are then temporally fragmented during zygotic division, and the resulting apical cells inherite mitochondria at higher concentration compared to the basal cells.
